Today we did a writing on what you would invent and this is my invention writing.

I will invent a machine that will teleport you anywhere and at any time. It will be a small watch that will be able to fit in any size. You can only choose red, blue and green but do not worry more colours will be added in the future.

I will invent this so people can go to places faster and you won’t have any time to waste because the screen will be hologram so it’s easy to see and access. It will be used to go to work, vacation, go to the city and more options. The machine will make others’ lives easier because if there is an accident you can just teleport to the hospital. If you’re late for something you could just use your watch to teleport anywhere.

The materials I needed would be a watch, a special chip made out of steel and lots of other materials that I can’t explain but It can be in the future. I will get the materials from area 51. It is a dangerous place to gather resources and the government will allow me to get it. Most materials are made up of futuristic materials that do not exist right now.

The first step I will take is to create a plan on how I will make It. I will draw it on paper with my team and I will ask the government to approve It. The second step is to gather the resources and make  it take about 5 years to gather the materials which means it will be an undercover mission. Then, I will start to build my invention so it will be a long way to build and my team has been working on it. All the materials are made up of steel, meteorite, special chips and so much more.

Some other features of the machine are unknown because no one knows yet until It will be announced on the news. It will be operated by special kinds of people that has an iq of over 100Which is really good because there will be more engineers and so much more. It can be recycled by robots in a factory and It will be sent to my research lab where my team will make sure nothing is wrong with It. It will be worth 100k but It will cost more. There will be lots of them around the world and It will all cost the same 100k.

Beast of the Past

At the beginning of the age of dinosaurs (during the Triassic Period, about 230 million years ago), the continents were arranged together as a single supercontinent called Pangea. During the 165 million years of dinosaur existence this supercontinent slowly broke apart.

Most of the dinosaurs we have found lived along ancient rivers or streams. They roamed across the adjacent forested floodplains and densely vegetated swamps and lakes. Some discoveries have also shown that dinosaurs inhabited ancient deserts strewn with fields of sand dunes.

Dinosaurs are extinct and there have been no trace of them coming back to life. They have been extinct but we tend to find fossils of dinosaurs around the world.

The first dinosaur fossils were recognized in the early 19th century, with the name “dinosaur” (meaning “terrible lizard”) being coined by Sir Richard Owen in 1842 to refer to these “great fossil lizards”.

They were discovered in the mid-1600s, when a fossil bone was acquired by Dr Robert Plot. He was the first keeper of Oxford’s Ashmolean Museum. He noted that it looked almost exactly like the lower part of a human femur.

They lived for over 140 million years during the Mesozoic era, a period of time which extended from approximately 225 million to 65 million years ago.

My Navigation Story

This week we wrote about how our families came to Aotearoa. We needed to ask our parents how we got to NZ, It was hard doing this work

but also interesting like did you know that Rugby is the most popular sport in Fiji? It took me 2 weeks  to finish my work

but it was all worth it and my parents are gonna see it.

Polynesian and Maori Masters navigators

Point: Polynesians and Maori are masters navigators. They used stars to discover islands and they also used the ocean currents to navigate.

Evidence: In the video it says That the Maori and Polynesians were masters navigators because they use the stars to guide them.

Explanation: Because Maori and Polynesians are just build different and they explore the Pacific ocean for 1,00 years ago.

Link: Polynesians navigators and Maori navigators are masters navigators because they were the first people to sail the pacific ocean 1,00 years ago. They can use the stars, moon, sun, wind and birds to navigate through the pacific ocean.

Here’s Water

Text: Here’s Water

Heni Te Kiri Karamu and the battle of Gate Pā

Heni gave the British soldier’s water. She could not stand them suffering and dying for water. She walked 10 yards and saw the full view of the British troops bullets flying everywhere and some soldiers even dying in the process. But she on going trying to find water but she couldn’t find any until she saw a  can and there was water inside. She ran back as bullets flew beside her, she sat down near the colonel and put his head on her lap and said “Here’s Water”, she said in English. She put water on her hand and he drank and said “Thank you”.She also did the same thing to the other soldiers.

To rugby

Rugby is my favourite sport

It is fun and challenging

Back home, I remember playing on the beach

Running after people

I love the feeling of getting tries and talking to people

Running like a train

I speed down the creek

That is where I learnt my rugby

Bush fires

Hi this week we have been learning about bush fires and animals habitat.

Did you know that bush fires have destroyed trees and homes and habitats?

Pollution is bad for the environment because when the ashes and embers go in the air it spreads pollution everywhere like from Australia all the way to New Zealand .

Did you know that nearly 15 million acres of land has been burnt to the ground? Approximately 1,400 homes have been destroyed.
